On Sale: Week of February 8th 2010 (updated)
It’s time for our NEW weekly feature, On Sale This Week! I’ve also added a lot more listings for shows already on sale as well. Some of the shows that are going on sale this week include: Jonsi of Sigur Ros, Ben Folds, Elvis Costello and a few others. Shows that are already on sale include The Specials, Perfect Thyroid, The Business, Carbon Leaf, Bamboozle Festival, Pilfers and more! Pilfers playing Haiti benefit at Knitting Factory April 23rd
The Pilfers are playing a rare show at the Knitting Factory on April 23rd, 2010. For some people that don’t know, the Knitting Factory moved to Brooklyn so don’t show up at the old venue!

On Sale: Week of February 1st 2010 (updated)
I’m going to try a new weekly feature here at ReadJunk.com. We’re going to list some shows in the NY/Tri-State area that are going on sale for the week or have already been on sale. Spring Heeled Jack returning for another reunion show or two
Connecticut ska band Spring Heeled Jack haven’t played together since 2002, when they played a Dave Karcich’s memorial show which raised $8,000 for a fund in his name. Various members of the band are/were in other bands but looks like SHJ will be back for some shows in some capacity. Jr, Sax player of Less Than Jake and SHJ, confirms that the band are going to do a proper reunion show which won’t be rushed this time. Don’t know what the details are yet but I’m sure JR will post them on his blog or twitter feed sooner or later.

The Specials’ website confirms Terminal 5 April 21st show in New York!
The ongoing saga of the Specials USA tour seems to be getting finalized, since thespecials.com confirmed dates on their very own site! The Terminal 5 show on April 21st still stands, as well as shows in Cali at April 15th on April 19th in Toronto. Pre-sale info will be posted on the website shortly. I’m getting psyched! Now if I could only get a photo pass I’d be all set! All the details are below:

The Specials NYC show announced prematurely?
Did Bowery Presents prematurely ejaculated the news that The Specials were playing Terminal 5 on April 21st? The show was announced the other day here. A pre-sale for American Express cardholders was suppose to go on sale today but that obviously that didn’t happen.

The Specials performing on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon April 13th
Billboard.com confirmed that The Specials will be performing on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on April 13th. We already confirmed that the band will be playing Terminal 5 April 21st here but Billboard say that more dates for North America are still in the works… Sounds good to me! Be sure to get your tickets for the NYC this Friday at Ticket Bastard.
