Demented, Destructive Norwegian Rockstars Invade the Comfort of Your Couch-Potato Abode
Season One of Adult Swim’s Rock-Fantasy Metalocalypse Debuts on 2-Disc DVD October 2nd
The first season of Metalocalypse, which had the highest-rated premiere of any Adult Swim original series, will be available as a 2-Disc DVD set from Warner Home Video beginning October 2, 2007. Metalocalypse: Season One, the saga of demented, Devil-worshiping rock stars without a clue, will retail for $29.98 SRP.
Created by Brendon Small and Tommy Blacha, Metalocalypse follows the on and off-stage adventures of Dethklok, an incredibly talented and insanely popular Norwegian heavy metal band. Dethklok is so popular that thousands of fans will travel to a remote area of Scandanavia to hear them perform a single song: a jingle for a coffee company. However, Nathan Explosion, William “Murderface,” Skwisgaar Skwigelf, Toki Wartooth and Pickles are also stupiddangerously stupid. From sold out concerts to late-night snack-attacks, Dethklok creates a wave of mayhem, death and destruction wherever they go. Simply put, Dethklok is the most powerful cultural force in the world, which means that they have attracted the keen interest of a shadowy group of world leaders. But the band remains completely oblivious to anything that happens outside their rock and roll bubble, and thanks to their “really good lawyer” they manage to walk away legally unscathed on every occasion.
The Metalocalypse: Season One, 2-Disc DVD includes all 20 original episodes from the hit series and over an hour of special features, including interviews with the band: Nathan Explosion, William “Murderface,” Skwisgaar Skwigelf, Toki Wartooth and Pickles; a Mordhaus tour; an instructional guitar video; commentaries, deleted scenes and more.
