Andrew Jackson Jihad will be touring in November (sorry no North East dates) with support from Jeffrey Lewis & Los Bolts and Rozwell Kid. All tickets are now on sale at their website.
Hailing from the scorched hellscape of Phoenix, Arizona, Andrew Jackson Jihad is a euphoric wave of spiritual devastation and hyperbole. Their latest album, Christmas Island, is irreverent yet somber, full of humor and full of pathos, its twelve songs combining the two to create a record that – truly – cuts right to the bone of the human condition. Before the tour later this fall, AJJ played a righteous set at FYF Fest in Los Angeles and are currently on a run through Australia, playing shows with The Smith Street Band, The Sidekicks and The Sugarcanes. Their latest video for “Do, Re, And Me” depicts a cartoon Nicholas Cage rescuing a group of helpless lemming spellbound by a mysterious guinea pig leader promising them the world and afterlife:
