New York October 15, 2008 The Free Yr Radio campaign, created by Toyota Yaris and Urban Outfitters to generate awareness and support for partner independent radio stations, today announced their 2008 CMJ Showcase featuring Chairlift on Wednesday, October 22, at Pianos, to benefit partner station WVKR of Vassar College.

In addition to the live showcase with WVKR, Free Yr Radio has also partnered with KEXP to host a Broadcast Corner from Tuesday, October 21 to Thursday, October 23 in the Expo Hall at New York University s Kimmel Hall. KEXP will invite CMJ bands to perform short acoustic sets and will also be offering a sign-up sheet at their booth for any visiting radio stations who would like to receive free CMJ content to take back to their station. Content will include station ID s from CMJ bands and various video interviews that will be conducted by KEXP.

The CMJ Showcase at Pianos is first come, first serve and will accommodate a limited number of Free Yr Radio ticket holders and CMJ badge holders.
