LoveLikeFire are proud to announce their signing to UK label Heist or Hit Records. Over the past month they’ve been busily recording songs for their debut full-length at Tiny Telephone studios in San Francisco with producer Bill Racine (Mates Of State, Rogue Wave). Upon finishing up work in the studio they take off on a 35 + date tour that sees them crossing the country as they make their way to and from CMJ 2008.

Heist or Hit Records is an inventive forward thinking UK indie set up by music loving entrepreneurs. The label has wasted no time in providing the San Franciscan act the tools to go about recording their debut L.P. LoveLikeFire decided to stay close to home, and have begun putting down tracks at Tiny Telephone; the revered studio owned by fellow San Franciscan John Vanderslice. The record is being produced by Bill Racine, who’s credits include Rogue Wave, Mates of State, and work assisting David Fridmann with the likes of the Flaming Lips, Sparklehorse, Mogwai and more.

LoveLikeFire’s past two releases (the self-released EPs Bed Of Gold (2006), and An Ocean In The Air (2007)) garnered them regional love and a burgeoning fanbase across the united-states. sung praise for their “beautifully orchestrated rock.” while LA Weekly wrote that “If this were the U.K. the British press would be argy-bargying one another for bragging rights for discovering this irresistible foursome.” This past March their video for An Ocean In The Air track “I Will” was chosen as an official selection for the 2008 SXSW Film Festival.

But most recently LoveLikeFire’s powerful performances and brilliant new material have made them a favorite partner for other indie acts touring the West Coast. In the past few months this summer they’ve shared the stage with The Teenagers and Mates of State, and were also hand picked by The Virgins and Black Kids to support their respective gigs in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Upon completion of recording this September, LoveLikeFire take to the road for themselves on a two month tour that includes a performance at the Monolith Festival at Red Rocks, and has them rolling into NYC end of October for the 2008 CMJ Music Festival.
