Osaka Popstar are releasing a brand new super-sized limited collector’s edition vinyl 12-inch debuting the brand new single: “Super Hero”! The 12″ vinyl will be released tomorrow on Misfits Records. You can check out the single “Super Hero” on Pure Volume.

The stunning front and back cover art was created by Josh Howard, the creator/artist of the “Dead @ 17” comic book/graphic novel series, “Black Harvest” & more. The inner sleeve reveals a super-sexy, 2-sided variant of the femme fatale cover art. The 12-inch additionally contains “Where’s the Cap’n?—Extra Crunchy Mix,” which is released for the first time in print.

The singer/producer, & longtime Misfits/Ramones collaborator, John Cafiero (aka Osaka Popstar) is additionally accompanied by members of the Misfits, Ramones, Black Flag & more (as special guests in a rotating backing band), plus sound bytes from vintage Cap’n Crunch TV commercials of the 60’s & 70’s blended into an ‘Extra Crunchy’ re-mix by DJ Product.

John Cafiero of Osaka Popstar will also be appearing at the legendary comic book haven, Forbidden Planet NYC, on February 6th at 7pm for a meet & greet, as well as album signing, alongside The Misfits. That Saturday, February 9th, The Misfits and Osaka Popstar will be heading to Fords, NJ for another signing at Vintage Vinyl, starting at 4pm. Both signings are in support of each artists’ respective new release out on Misfits Records Feb 5th.
