The Pogues have canceled their Thursday March 12th show at Roseland Ballroom in New York City. Tickets will be honored for their March 14th show instead. Read the band’s response after the jump:
Due to unforeseen circumstances we regret to announce the cancellation of the New York show on the Thursday 12th March at Roseland Ballroom. All tickets bought for the Thursday show will be honoured for the Saturday 14th March show at the same venue. We are sorry for any inconvenienced caused.
Is this due to poor ticket sales and the price of tickets? All signs point to yes but maybe there was something else to it than lack of ticket sales? I know the service charge for tickets were increased compared to last year. In this shitty economy, I’m sure a lot of people can’t afford 80 dollar concert ticket. I’ll be attending the March 13th show so hopefully that one is still safe.
