June 18, 2007-Eyeball Records and Pompeii are pleased to announce a three week East Coast Summer Tour kicking off July 1 in Houston; making its way throughout the East Coast and Midwest before wrapping up in Dallas on July 25.

This marks one of the bands most ambitious tours to date, being completely self booked by the band with help from devoted fans all across the country. Pompeii is also bringing along Dallas band Gazelles as a supporting act.

Pompeii is a 3-year-old band from Austin,TX garnishing a blend of indie ambient rock influences coupled with cello and expressive lyrical arrangements. Discovered at the SXSW music festival in 2005 by Eyeball Records owner Alex Saavedra, the signing led to the 2006 release of Assembly which received glowing reviews, prompting American Songwriter to say “..solid 10-for-10 smartly performed debut.” Assembly was just released on Bad News Records in Japan this month and is already garnering much overseas attention.

Pompeii is Dean Stafford (vocals, guitar), Erik Johnson (lead guitar), Rob Davidson (drums), Caitlin Bailey (cello), and Colin Butler (bass).
