Los Angeles, CA, June 16, 2005 – Announced at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival, Backseat Conceptions is entering a deal with the Vans Warped Tour and streaming media provider Altnet to release the follow-up to Punk Rock Holocaust in five episodes (13-15 minutes per episode). Starting on Friday, July 15th, a new episode of Punk Rock Holocaust 2: Serial Bandocide will be available through Kazaa each week of the tour. Fans from across the world will be able to follow the Warped Tour crew as they try to stay alive each week.

Set one year after the original Punk Rock Holocaust, the demonic Pop-punk Executioner’s headless, undead corpse is back on the 2005 Vans Warped Tour and it’s looking for its head! On the tour there is total “Holocaust Denial” as all of the tour production staff refutes reports of the carnage that happened the previous year. One precocious, nubile “Holocaust Survivor” has become a reporter for a small independent magazine. She is determined to get to the bottom of the story and reveal the truth to the world. Kevin Lyman is hiding something, but why? And what?

Punk Rock Holocaust 2: Serial Bandocide, directed by Doug Sakmann and written and produced by Doug Sakmann and Nick Esposito, stars even more of the hottest bands from the tour including The Casualties, The Aquabats, The Bouncing Souls, My Chemical Romance, River City Rebels, The Planet Smashers and Teenage Harlots. Returning cast members from the original film include Troma Entertainment’s Lloyd Kaufman and Warped Tour’s Kevin Lyman & Heather Vantress. New players include the sexy reporter Megan Sanders and Pro BMX star Rick Thorne.

Backseat Conceptions will be present on select dates of the 2005 Vans Warped Tour to shoot supplemental footage for the film, killing additional bands and shooting behind the scenes footage and interviews for the theatrical and DVD release of Punk Rock Holocaust 2 (Winter 2005).

About the Punk Rock Holocaust franchise:

A series of Rock n’ Roll, slasher/zombie comedy films produced in conjunction with the Vans Warped Tour. The original film, featuring over 23 of the biggest bands on the tour performing and meeting unique gristly deaths at the hands of a “Pop-punk Executioner”, was released by Sony/RED Distribution in November 2004 and has sold over 10,000 copies on DVD with a grassroots marketing campaign in the first 4 months of release. Punk Rock Holocaust has also spawned a devoted fan base and two sequels, one of which will be released this Summer over the 2005 Warped Tour. The third film, set to be shot on the Japanese Edition for the Warped Tour is currently in development.
