The rising price of gasoline got you down? Worn out from stressing about the plight of the endangered snow leopard? Sick and tired of waiting patiently for the Kevin Federline record? Chillax. Your good friends in Reel Big Fish are back to distract you from all that with a brand new live record/DVD and another one of their infamous summer tours!

Now free from the constraints of being tied to a major label, Reel Big Fish’s next release will be a specially-priced, three-disc set titled, Our Live Album is Better Than Your Live Album, and will be released through traditional retail outlets on August 1st via CD Baby’s “Umbrella Label” which is distributed by Ryko. Rock Ridge Music (Kittie, Stroke 9) will be releasing the album digitally on July 18th. The first two discs will feature several live tracks recorded at various RBF shows around the country, while the second will be a live concert DVD that was shot last winter at The Alley in Fullerton, CA. C’mon kids, you can’t beat that with a stick!

On July 1st, Reel Big Fish will launch a full-scale summer tour with co-headliners MXPX and special guests Streetlight Manifesto, Transition and Whole Bread (initial dates listed below). The band is also set to perform with Rancid on July 19th in Orlando, FL and at the Quebec City Festival D’ete on July 15th.

Later this year, watch for Reel Big Fish to release a 6-song CD split with Pennsylvania, indie-pop powerhouse Zolof The Rock and Roll Destroyer on Reignition Records.
