Ska and reggae musicians need to stop passing away dammit! Sax/vocalist of the DC ska band The Scotch Bonnets has suddenly passed away today. I only saw the Scotch Bonnets back in April at Fontana’s in NYC when they played with Roddy Radiation, but Doc Night was a thrill to see and photograph. He was lively, energetic and a fun musician to watch. His talents will be missed.

I didn’t know Doc Night personally but a lot of people are rushing to his Facebook page to pay tribute to the man.
