Rise Against ‘Re-Education (Through Labor)’ video debuts on MTV2 and mtvU next week

Santa Monica, California, September 17, 2008 – Rise Against’s new single, ‘Re-Education (Through Labor)’ is off to an amazing start at radio with the track at #8 on the modern rock radio chart. Top 10 after just four weeks at the format! And now the video for ‘Re-Education (Through Labor)’ will make its debut next week on MTV-2 and mtv-U. Unleashed Premiere on MTV-2 & All Day Premiere on mtv-U begins Monday, 9/22 with an online premiere on MTV2.com & mtvU.com the same day.
Directed by Kevin Kerslake, the video was shot in Chicago and lead singer Tim McIlrath is looking forward to discussing it, ‘I want to talk about this video in interviews, I want a video where someone sits me down and says what the f*** was up with that?’

Rise Against?s new album, Appeal To Reason, will be released on October 7th on DGC/Interscope Records. The band will kick off a national headlining tour on October 2nd in Cleveland, OH at the Time Warner Cable Amphitheater with supporting acts Alkaline Trio, Thrice and The Gaslight Anthem. For their fifth studio album, Appeal To Reason, the band teamed up with Bill Stevenson (Black Flag, Descendants) and Jason Livermore to record at the Blasting Room in Ft. Collins, CO– the same production team and studio used for “The Sufferer & the Witness” and “Revolutions Per Minute.?
Rise Against are vocalist Tim McIlrath, bassist Joe Principe, drummer Brandon Barnes and guitarist Zach Blair. In spring 2001, the band released their debut CD The Unraveling on Fat Wreck Chords. After two years of solid touring, Rise Against recorded Revolutions Per Minute (2002), followed by Siren Song Of The Counter Culture produced by Gggarth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Melvins, Sick Of It All). The Sufferer & the Witness was released in 2006 and debuted at #10 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.
