Music News | Feb 11th, 2015
have a brand new album Transmission.Alpha.Delta. coming out on March 24th and have announced a national headline tour called “Transmission.To.The.Nation.Tour 2015.” La Armada will support the entire tour but Masked Intruder will also support the beginning half, and then Red City Radio will support the other half. The tour will stop at Gramercy Theatre in NYC on May 10th.
In support of their forthcoming album Transmission.Alpha.Delta. (Fat Wreck Chords), renowned punk rock band STRUNG OUT announce their national headline tour Transmission.To.The.Nation Tour 2015. They’ll be hitting the road with their brigade in tow, which includes Masked Intruder, Red City Radio, and La Armada.
The first leg of their tour with their caravan consisting of Masked Intruder and La Armada kicks off on April 2nd in Santa Barbara, CA then bounces around the West Coast, Midwest and Canada concluding in Green Bay, WI on April 21st. The second leg commences on April 22nd in Minneapolis, MN with their convoy including Red City Radio and La Armada then circles around the Midwest, East Coast, and Canada drawing to a close in their home state of California on an undisclosed date (more dates to be announced).
Strung Out will be broadcasting 12 tracks saturated with blistering metallic riffs, clobbering rhythms, and intricate melodies on March 24, 2015 via Fat Wreck Chords. From the explosive “The Animal and the Machine” to the anthemic flamenco-infused “Spanish Days” to the nuclear blast of “Tesla” to the ballsy solo laden “Black Maps” to the electrifying melody of “Nowheresville” – Transmission.Alpha.Delta tightropes between the catchy essence and energy of Strung Out’s early work and the darker, even more aggressive tenor of their later releases.
Easily one of the most influential punk bands still in existence today, Strung Out has managed to form the quintessential blend of melodic punk rock, progressive rock, and heavy metal in their twenty-five years of existence. Strung Out’s influence can be heard on releases from a number of artists, such as Rise Against, AFI, Thrice, and Avenged Sevenfold, to name a few. Today, Strung Out remains a worldwide powerhouse in the underground music scene with nearly a million albums sold collectively.
