The Beautiful Days Festival 2012 announce initial lineup

The first acts were announced for The Levellers’ awesome music festival Beautiful Days 2012! The festival will take place between August 17th – 19th at Escot Park, Devon, UK. The first acts announced so far include: Public Image Limited, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Levellers, Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson plays Thick as a Brick, Midlake, Richard Thompson, The Waterboys, New Model Army, Bellowhead, Inspiral Carpets, Alabama 3, Reel Big Fish…

…Dreadzone, Billy Bragg celebrates Woody Guthrie’s 100th Birthday, The King Blues, Simon & Oscar from Ocean Colour Scene (Acoustic), Chris Wood, The Skints, 3 Daft Monkeys, Emily Barker & The Red Clay Halo, Larkin Poe, The Peatbog Faeries, and The Travelling Band.

Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls will headline the main stage Friday night. Public Image Limited have been announced to headline on the Saturday date, and of course The Levellers will headline the Sunday night date.

One thing worth noting is Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson will play Thick as a Brick where Ian Anderson commemorates the 40th Anniversary of the groundbreaking album playing it in its entirety for the first time since its original tour! Wish I was seeing that, I love the full 20-minute + song!
