LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – With a little help from their fanbase, one rock band is fighting the good fight: to keep DUI driving disaster Paris Hilton behind bars.
Frontman Scott Stevens of The Exies is fired up about Paris’ plea for leniency on her 45-day jail sentence and demands real justice be handed down.
Says Stevens: “She Paris did something anyone would be punished for. She’s no different than anyone else, and she needs a reality check and needs to take the hit like everybody else would.”
So, to keep the heiress behind bars, Stevens’ band is starting a petition on their MySpace page encouraging the masses to sign to help keep Paris in jail. Stevens hopes the petition works but says he has a plan in the event that Paris doesn’t end up serving her jail time.
He says, “We have a show in mid-June at the Roxy in Los Angeles. Maybe she’ll come to that and I can have a word or two with her.”
And after getting through to Paris, Steven plans to zone in on her Simple Life co-star, the stick-thin Nicole Richie, and confront her about her weight.
The Exies’ new album, A Modern Way Of Living With The Truth, hits shelves May 15, and to sign the petition visit www.myspace.com/theexies
