Georgia based ska punkers The Taj Motel Trio are set to release a new EP digitally and on vinyl.
From the band:
Georgia ska-punk band The Taj Motel Trio will release a new EP entitled “4 Songs, 7 Inches” on January 14, 2015. The album will feature three new songs from the group and a cover of NOFX’s “All Outta Angst.”
“There has been a lot of demand for new music and it’s great to finally have something to offer,” said lead vocalist and guitarist, Ben Sanders. “These songs are true to who we are. They reflect our influences, but they also have a new intensity that has really just started to take shape for us. It’s an exciting time.”
The 7-inch EP flaunts the catchy horn leads and powerhouse rhythm section that Taj fans have come to expect, along with appearances from several renowned guest musicians including Vinny Nobile (The Pilfers, Bim Skala Bim) and Rob Hoskins (aka Rudie, Soul Radics).
Taj’s new EP was recorded and mixed at Battle House Studio in Georgia and mastered by Sage Audio’s Chief Engineer Steve Carrao, who also recently mastered the Mad Caddies 2014 album, “Dirty Rice.”
Although more new music is in the works, the band is currently focused on hitting the road to promote this latest release. “We’re really pumped about the 7-inch and getting back out there on tour,” said drummer, Kevin Rose. “2015 is going to be a big year for us and the new EP is a helluva good start.”
“4 Songs, 7 Inches” is currently available for preorder on vinyl at tajmoteltrio.com. Visit tajmoteltrio.com for more information on upcoming show dates.
