It was announced last night at the New York Comic Con that Band of Brothers alumni Michael Cudlitz has been cast in the The Walking Dead as another fan-favorite from the comic, Sergeant Abraham Ford. The casting news has been surprisingly kept under wraps for a few weeks/months and he has been filming Season 4 for awhile now. Perfect casting choice in my opinion! I’m kind of wondering what this means for a few cast members on the show, especially one with a crossbow and a diehard fanbase? Could this mean the end of Daryl by the middle of the season? How many right-hand man’s can Rick have in Daryl, Tyrese and Abraham? Hmm….

Southland‘s Officer John Cooper has been promoted to Sergeant. That’s the good news. The bad news is he’s been reassigned to the zombie apocalypse!
The Walking Dead has tapped Michael Cudlitz to join the Season 4 cast in the pivotal comic book role of Sgt. Abraham Ford, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Michael Cudlitz is “motherf—ing Abraham!” The Southland actor stormed up to the audience mic disguised as an angry fan, demanding showrunner Gimple include Sgt. Abraham Ford on the series. He then revealed his identity, in fully bearded and muscle-toned character. The producers also confirmed the casting of Christian Serratos (Twilight) as Rosita Espinosa and announced actor/comedian Josh McDermitt as Eugene, who, according to Nicotero, is sure to be “fully mulleted.”
