This synth-punk band is doing a good thing, but I’m not so sure they’re doing it well. I like their dance beats and dated Casio sound, but they trip themselves up on horribly crunchy guitar distortion and off-key vocals that never match up with the music. That doesn’t stop me from enjoying Atom & His Package, but it doesn’t gel for Avenpitch.
