I have not seen this movie yet but the score for it sounds good. I’m sure it fits the film well. The score combines spanish style guitar solos, indigenous drumming and flutes. Composer LoDuca has done something different from what he usually does. You might have heard some of his scores for the Evil Dead Trilogy, Xena and other TV series. One of my favorite scores LoDuca is for Army Of Darkness. Track 3, “The Hunt/ The Abbey Ruins/ Pagan Image” starts off with a violin playing, then goes into many of instruments like the bagpipes, flutes, and drums. This score definitely has many different types of instruments playing. Brotherhood of the Wolf’s score, I think does the job, because it adds the element of suspense. If you haven’t seen the movie, and get this CD first, beware of the spoilers for the track listing. I hate when composers do that. If you like scores Joseph LoDuca or other scores such as Ronin, Carter Burwell; Then check this score out.
