Buck Brothers fall somewhere between Radiohead and Orgy with a sound that you could categorize at dance rock. It’s not really rave music and it’s not hard rock…maybe garage rock. The songs have a techno sound with repetitive bass and machine gun drums.

There are some more rock-oriented songs on “Me” with “Gatu’politik” sounding and awful lot like the Strokes and “Wake Up” sounding somewhat like the Vines. There are some catchy pop songs on this album but most of the songs end up giving me Sugarcult Syndrome, which means a bad headache.

If you like to get your freak on and prefer your rock music with a techno backbeat and a very strong British accent, then the Buck Brothers “Me” is for you…it’s just not for me.

Bottom Line: Sounds like if Billy Idol sang for Orgy and Orgy wasn’t as techno.
