Chuggalug nu-metal with the dual screechy/wussy vocal dynamic. They’re generic and dated, but the musicianship is fairly competent. In particular, the vocal work isn’t as terrible as others in this genre, and the guitars on the second track are pretty rad. Otherwise, Circledown doesn’t really stand out.
Also, I must give them some credit. Although they label themselves as rap rock, I didn’t hear much of it in their music. This is a good thing.
Bottom Line: Not “rap rock” as I had feared. But still bad.
