This all-girl band serves up above-average tatted-up Sunset Strip-style punk rock. The vocals are cool and throaty and the music is bad-ass, but many of the tunes feel overly aggressive while lacking the almighty hook.

“Bad Luck” is a nice, punchy punkcore tune; “All I Want”, “Take Me Away”, and the title track are catchy, even a bit pop-punk, with good use of gang vocals.

The other tunes are good but didn’t blow my socks off. Even just slightly more interesting vocal melodies and riffing would make Civet exponentially better.
