You may ask yourself, who is The Dan Band? Well, if you saw ‘Old School,’ or ‘Starsky & Hutch’ then perhaps you remember the band that was cursing their way through Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” at Frank the Tank’s wedding. For the first time on cd, The Dan Band brings their energetic live show to, what do you know, a live cd. I’ve never seen the band play live but it sounds like one hell of a good time. Covering almost entirely girly pop songs, Dan Finnerty is a former member of the cast of Stomp, a popular show on Broadway.

After one drunken night at karaoke, The Dan Band has emerged as a hot ticket in LA and New York, with a growing fan base, with all walks of life. Diva songs that you will enjoy are “Gloria/Mickey,” “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” “Shoop/Whatta Man/Never Gonna Get it,” and “Abba Medley.”

Bottom Line: I haven’t stop listening to this cd. It’s fun and hilarious.
