Hard nosed street punk band’s 4th studio full length album, but this is the first time I’m listening to Defiance. The band hails from Portland and have that Clash sound that people love. Their songs are rockin’ but not really a fan of the vocal distortion. A lot of bands seem to use that but I find it distracting. Defiance covers 1997 Menace classic “Screwed Up” as well. This album doesn’t really stand out from other punk CDs but that’s not to say it’s bad. The music is good, just same old same old to me.

Bottom Line: Cool punk rock. Not bad.
