The Dropkick Murphys have so many b-side single & rare tracks that they needed another collections CD just to feature them all! There are about 23 tracks on here containing songs between the years 1998-2004 (Al Barr years). The CD also features a cover of “Vengeance,” Shane MacGowan’s first band, The Nips or Nipple Erectors. I believe Lars from Rancid is singing on that track but I could be wrong. They also cover songs from CCR, ACDC, The Misfits and some others. There’s a variety of singles on here, ranging from street punk to Celtic to instrumental bagpipes, plus they do a track with The Business!

I can see why they made another Singles Collection because there are a lot of great songs on here. And probably a lot of people haven’t heard these tracks yet. The quality of the songs is a lot better than the first volume CD. Probably because the band’s on Hellcat now and have money to spend on good quality production. There are a few songs that don’t sound as good though. But this is definitely an awesome appetizer for their next studio album, coming out in June.

Bottom Line: If you can’t get enough of the DKM and want to hear some rare, b side songs, certainly get this!
Notable Tracks: Vengeance, Watch Your Back, Working, We Got the Power, Hey Little Rich Boy
