I’m glad a metalcore band has finally brought up the respect issue. Respect is such an underrated value and it’s about time hardcore bands address it.

But seriously folks, this album sucks. The entire thing is a slow, mindless chugga-chugga riff with Cookie Monster throat singing. Essentially, it’s one long 40-minute crappy breakdown.

Emmure embodies all that was generic and boring about metalcore 5 years ago. Which is still better than the screamo today, but not by much.
