Gina Gershon isn’t the worst case of a multimedia celebrity. I mean, she’s no Bruce “Bruno” Willis. But she is the definition of mediocre neither good or bad, just bland and unremarkable.

There’s good music with bad vocals (I am into punk, after all), but her accompaniment is just as forgettable as her voice lackadaisical lounge, middling jazz standards, a little country twang. Even when she goes for sultry or emotional, she still sounds like someone going through the motions over muzak.

As a cat lover, I like that the album follows the theme of her trying to find her lost cat (Cleo). And as a film lover, I appreciate Gershon’s talents in “Bound.” But this music has no value and I’d rather Gershon spend her time more wisely, e.g. making Bound II.
