The first song begins with a drumming intro that’s a little sloppy, but promising. But as soon as the weakly nervous vocals kick, it goes downhill fast. Then the guitars shriek in, high-pitched, glassy, and too loud in the speakers. It’s all so very, very bad.

The third track (“What Would Lou Reed Do”) is fairly decent. Straight-ahead indie rocker with riffing and jangly drum bits. Still sloppy and twitchy, but not terrible.

However, it doesn’t redeem the other four tracks. Especially the absolutely fetid ballad “Tonight (I’ll Save You)” – yes, that’s the name – even though the track does feature a depressing Galaxie 500-esque guitar solo.
