Armored is a movie that came and went like the blink of an eye. I had no idea this movie was even coming out, or knew what it was about. I guess it stars Matt Dillon, Laurence Fishburne, Jean Reno and Columbus Short. Armored is a heist movie, and I’m usually a fan of those types of movies so maybe I’ll give it a shot.

John Murphy composed the score but sadly, I’m not really a fan of this score. I knew what the score would sound like before I even listened to it. In a nutshell, the score is a computerized, instrumental rock album. You think a guy that loves rock music and love film scores would like the two together but it rarely works for me. It’s loud, noisy and I’m sure it fits with the movie well. I didn’t find the score that boring but it’s not something I’d listen to again. I couldn’t tell you what tracks stood out because it all sounds the same to me. John Murphy’s not a bad composer; I just think this score isn’t that great.

Bottom Line: Typical action score
Notable Tracks: Ty Escapes
