This is the animated prequel to the Hugh Jackman movie, Van Helsing and it takes place right before the opening start of the movie with Mr. Hyde. I believe this is what the cartoon is about though, the hunt for Mr Hyde. John Van Tongeren gets the composing duties for this one, and creates a dark underscore sound to the movie. This is kind of the opposite to Alan Silvestri’s score. John Van Tongeren’s style is sort of similar to Danny Elfman’s dark scores like Batman and Darkman. There was a couple of tracks that stood out but nothing too special with this CD.

Bottom Line: Not as good as the Silvestri score.
