New band from frontman Jason Shevchuk (Kid Dynamite, None More Black). It’s the thoughtful slice of punk that you’d expect from him – but this time, the music is more midtempo, with a bluesy rock n’ roll heart, slight pop-punk catchiness, and bouncy swagger, all with Shevchuk’s throaty-but-melodic vocal style.

I’m not sure if the hardcore kids will get it, but this sparser, less in-your-face approach is far from simple or toned down. It’s like a lean cut of gristly steak.

This is a very interesting and unpredictable album. It’ll take me some listens to wrap my head around it, but that’s what makes it so good. Really worth picking up for punk fans wanting something different.
