I can’t believe I haven’t heard this album. I’ve heard a lot of songs on this album; whether it be on compilations, 7 inches, etc. but I never heard this compilation. This album is a rarities collection of covers, b-sides, and other songs that aren’t released on official albums from Less than Jake. It’s now re-released again, this time on the band’s Sleep It Off Records. This 20 song collection is a must have for the band, because it contains all these awesome songs you can’t hear elsewhere (for the most part). There are some songs I never even heard as well like “Yo Yo Ninja Boy,” “Teenager in Love,” and “Descant.” My favorite unreleased track from Less Than Jake all these years was “Scott Farcas Take it on the Chin.” It’s just a fun ska song and love when the band plays it live. Not sure they do that one live too often though.

The bonus DVD included with this re-released is the band playing songs off this album. The first few songs is from the band performing all the songs in one night. You would have thought they would have included the live show for Losers, Kings & Things We Don’t Understand as a bonus disc? Maybe they sucked that night? But they also included other live footage from other shows where they are playing these songs from it. Either way, we get a lot of video footage of the band playing songs from their rarities collections off of Goodbye Blue and White.

Bottom Line: A great collection of rarities. I love the covers the most!
Notable Tracks: I Think I Love you, Mixoglogy of Tom Collins, Freeze Frame, We’re Not Gonna Take It, Son of Dick, Scott Farcas
