You know, I’m really starting to love these series from Silver Screen Records. The latest is London Music Works doing selected pieces from the Transformers Trilogy (Transformers, Revenge of the Fallen, and Dark of the Moon). If you liked what composer Steve Jablonsky has done with scores, wait to hear what London Music Works has done with them!
The first few tracks are from the original Transformers movie. “Autobots” is one of the original motifs of the movie and starts the album off. One of my favorite tracks to come out in any movie is “Arrival To Earth.” It’s something about this track that gives me goosebumps. Such an iconic, thematic track. Hearing it by LMW makes it sound even cooler!
Just like the movie, I’m not as fond of the score for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. It’s okay but nothing as memorable as the first movie. Even the last movie, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, has much better music since it re-uses a lot of the iconic themes from the first movie. But with that said, “Prime, Rise You Fall” sounded excellent; especially hearing the choir singing. Revenge of the Fallen has six tracks represented here, and Dark of the Moon has only four. Sixteen tracks in total and this was a great compilation album of the three Transformers movies. It’s interesting to see how London Music Works re-works some of the score tracks to make it slightly different.
Bottom Line: Excellent selection of Transformers tracks by London Music Works
Notable Tracks: Autobots, Bumblebee, Arrival to Earth, Forest Battle, Prime/Rise You Fall, Its Our Fight
