Luciano pumps out great albums left & right and I can’t imagine how he does it. I wouldn’t be surprised if the man does another album by the end of the year. This time the album is being released on Sanctuary Records.

I notice that Luciano has a tendency to sound the same with every album, but I like that because I love his music. This is the type of reggae I like, and not so much of the dancehall reggae. Roots, Rock, Reggae mixed in with some R&B. The album starts off with “Are You With Me” and gets you in the mood to dance a little. The song that really stands out is the cover of Dylan’s “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” and I think it’s one of the best covers of that song I’ve heard. Didn’t Guns N Roses cover that song too? I think I liked that version too. I think the cover is very fitting for the type of music that Luciano does. The title track “Jah Words” spouts some anti-Darwin stuff and I’m not really into that. I’m not a religious person but I still like Luciano’s music, just don’t agree with his views. The album has some great songs but also has some less likable ones as well. That can be said with every album. If you like Luciano and this type of reggae music, the album is worth purchasing. I enjoyed listening to the CD, just like the rest of Luciano’s discography.

Bottom Line: Another Luciano album, just as good as his others.
Notable Tracks: Are You With Me, Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door, Angel Heart, Perfect Love
