Modern Life is War’s third full-length contains lots of screaming, and great guitar work. But the one thing I don’t really like is the singing. The way the vocalist screams is like him talking in a conversation and it doesn’t really work with the songs. It almost seems to dragged the songs down. I think if the band played some straight up metal and just scream, then I’d think they would be okay. But the way the songs are setup, it just sounds sloppy.

Bottom Line: I didn’t think this album was that good.
