Morrissey released a live CD & a live DVD at the same time but with two different track listings & two different places. Well, he still plays the newer songs since this was recorded around the time that album was released. This CD was recorded at the December 18th 2004 show at Earls Court in London. The audio quality is awesome and I don’t know if I’ve heard a better live album. It just feels like you’re right there at the concert. Really top notch!

Morrissey starts of with the classic Smiths song “How Soon Is Now” and then goes into “First Of The Gang To Die.” He didn’t do “How Soon is Now” at the DVD show but it’s included here. There seems to be more of the classic Smiths songs on this CD than the DVD. He sang a lot of the slower tracks on both the CD and DVD. Not sure how I feel about that, I would have liked him to sing all the faster tracks because those are his stronger songs. Well the ones I prefer anyway. Morrissey’s voice sounds like its in top form and I would have liked to see him perform live the last few times he was in NY, but I missed the boat. I’d rather have Moz sing songs like “Ask,” “Panic” “This Charming Man” “Suedehead” or “Tomorrow” but nope, he did the songs he wanted to do. Overall, if you are a fan of Morrissey and like live recordings, don’t pass this one up.

Bottom Line: The album is worth getting just based on the excellent audio quality. This CD is something all Smit
