Peppy, youthful pop punk from Montreal that’s more 90s skate punk than today’s wussyboy emo. They’re considered a ska-punk band, but outside of VERY occasional ska-ish guitar here and there, they’re like a straight-up early Fat band.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t a fan of this sound during the 90s. Without a doubt, these goofy two-minute ditties about boozing and girls are more welcome today, especially now that all other young punk bands’ music are either jingles for MTV or designed for pre-teen girls. But it’s still too same-sounding and 90s high school band-ish for me. Again, fans of the Fat roster would dig this, but in the 90s punk department I’m more of a Lookout! kinda guy.
