Robb Blake used to be the singer and guitarist for the UK ska band Whitmore. The band released 2 albums through Moon Ska Europe but now Robb is back with his debut solo album on Do the Dog Records. The album is ska (sometimes acoustic ska) and it sounds really great! Could he be trying to go for the English version of Chris Murray? Robb’s vocals is good, and his music is reggae-icious as well. The only thing I don’t really care for is when Robb sings really deep, trying to go for this big Rasta sound. I think if he sings normal, he’ll be fine. Overall, Robb Blake has made an impressive solo album and I think you should support his music. We need more ska in the world!
