Even though the Disasters are no longer on Hellcat, they still sound exactly like Rancid. It’s pathetic – it’s like they’re doing everything possible to kiss Tim Armstrong’s ass. “Roots Rockn’ Roll,” “Noho Soho” – aren’t those already Rancid songs?

The music is decent street punk, but it’s as cliched as it gets. We get it – you want to riot, you like the Ramones, and you like to say Fuck You (even though you have to censor it as FXXK YOU). You’re proud, you wear boots and braces, and the kids are alright. Yeah, I’ve heard this shit a bazillion fucking times from a bazillion fucking bands. Cmon now.

I understand that hardcore doesn’t have much to say and retreads the same tired ground, but this former Agnostic Frontman should use his new life to do something new. If I hear one more song about “Johnny the rebel” or how the kids are united or how the media sucks, I’m going to cash in all my punk points and buy this band something fucking new to talk about.

Bottom Line: Horribly cliched, one-dimensional street punk.
Notable Tracks: None, I liked them all better when Rancid did them.
