The legendary Shane Macgowan’s postPogues band, the Popes, puts out a live Cd. Now you can hear Shane slur the lyrics live! But that’s what makes him so great. Wouldn’t you want to be a lazy singer and barely speak the words and still get away with it? Anyway, the quality is probably the best I’ve heard for a Pogues/ Shane Macgowan live CD. Mainly, they do Popes songs but Shane spits out a few Pogues tracks as well like “If I Should Fall the Grace of God,” “Broad Majestic Shannon,” “Sick Bed of Cuchulainn,” and of course “Fairytale of New York.” But Fairytale..isn’t the best song on this album because Shane’s Mum sings on here and it’s not the best, actually she’s pretty god awful. But that’s okay, there are still plenty of amazing tracks on here. GET this Pogues/ Shane fans!

Bottom Line: Awesome live album from Shane Macgowan and co.
Notable Tracks: “If I Should Fall By the Grace of God,” “Nancy Whiskey” “Mother Mo Chroi” “Streams Of Whiskey”
