Chicago’s own are back with “Stop Doing Bad Things,” filled with hard
rocking and pop punk songs that remind me of Jimmy Eat World, and The
Promise Ring. Spitalfield cites these bands along with a few others as
their influences so it’s no surprise a little bit of those bands are heard
on this record. Actually, if I close my eyes, it sounds like Jimmy Eat
World. I guess that is a good thing. Produced by Ed Rose who has worked
with groups such as The Get Up Kids, and Motion City Soundtrack,
Spitalfield is stronger than ever. With more experience, and a solid fan
base, look out for Spitalfield to rise to the top shortly.

Bottom Line: Pleasantly surprised by the tightness of the group and the songs are very catchy. You’ll really like
Notable Tracks: Tampa Bay Blues, Restraining Order Blues, Texa$ with a Dollar sign.
