I hadn’t heard their earlier stuff, back when they hit college radio in the alternative era, but if this is their comeback album, fans couldn’t ask for a better one. This is a very strong, textured pop album – it has a hint of the 90s alternative sound, but what I like about it is its 80s-ish Squeeze sound (with some slower Smiths-like tunes). A very clever and pleasant UK pop rock.
