The first thing that I want to say is that this band blows. Complete crap in my mind. If you want to read on, do so at your own discretion. Otherwise, save yourself a few minutes of wasted reading time and check out your local news or something.

I think that The Valley Arena tries too hard to make catchy pop/emo songs and it just ends up sounding like they have no idea what the hell is going on. If it isn’t one song dragging on with a long boring guitar riff that never changes much and a bass line that goes from high to low, it’s nasally, whiny vocals that don’t make much sense and a stale drum beat. I really wanted to eject this CD after about the first two songs, which if I had, I would have heard all that this band has to offer my earlobes.

Bottom Line: If you’re into bands like the All American Rejects or Moneen, then you suck and you’ll probably really love The Valley Arena and “Take Comfort In Strangers”. The songs are long and drawn out with nothing catchy or lyrically important to offer.
