Another excellent Heartbeat comp. with great reggae and ska artists/ bands. The Late Jack Ru recorded these reggae artists bands on the Fox and Wolf label. The first track is a reggae classic Burning Spear called “Marcus Garvey.” I remembering hearing this song on a reggae show on a college radio station, the guys who do reggae spectrum.com. I love Heartbeat comps because if I never heard of a certain artist before, and I like their stuff, I’ll go out and buy more of that artist. Fine examples of that would Everton Blender and Michael Rose. There’s a lot of great reggae songs on these two cds, one being regular songs and the other being dub, with King Tub and other dub artists. I liked tracks from Justin Hinds and The Dominoes, The Eagles, The Gaylads and Burning Spear. Overall, I think if you like other Heartbeat comps. than why not add these CDs to your collection.
