It’s party time! Soca Gold 2010 is here and ready to get you moving and not till stop moving until summer time is over! Soca Gold 2010 features 16 tracks plus a bonus dvd of the T&T Carnival 2010 plus seven music videos and behind the scenes footage. If you want to have a great time at a party or cookout this summer, throw this compilation on and you will be guaranteed a great evening!

Listening to reggae for so many years, Soca was something that never really grabbed my attention until lately. Perhaps its the closest thing to feeling like I’m on vacation all year round, or it’s just straight up fun tunes to listen to? Soca Gold 2010 does a good job of capturing the fun that is Carnival, one of the wildest parties of the year in the world, as well as a genre of music that was just meant to be heard in Paradise. It’s pretty depressing I have to admit to hear Soca when there is a foot of snow outside, but hey it’s almost summer and now is the perfect time! Soca Gold 2010 features some stand out artists like Patrice Roberts, Edwin Yearwood, Ravi B and Problem Child and for the most part was a solid compilation.

Bottom Line: Strong outing for 2010 in the Soca Gold series.
Notable Tracks: Patrice Roberts-Work It, Rikki Jai-Barman, Edwin Yearwood-Carnival On My Mind
