This is the season from 21 Jump Street that I remember the most! It’s also probably the best season with a lot of memorable episodes including the two part episode where Loki gets shot and Hanson goes to jail for a crime he didn’t commit. Now you can own the third season containing all 20 episodes!

The third season of 21 Jump Street finds the cast in a bunch of situations. The first episode introduces a new character to Jump Street squad, Dennis Booker, played by Richard Grieco. He gets partnered up with Hanson and Hanson senses something that he just doesn’t like about him. He later excuses Booker of being a racist and even sexually assaulting a girl. But things change and they get along for a little bit. Though they never completely like each other I don’t think. Penhall isn’t in the earlier episodes as much because he’s out of Jump Street, working in a more adult role. Jump Street just isn’t working high schools anymore but colleges and other youth places. Some of the storylines involved vigilante gangs, teen pregnancy, college hazing, lots of murder, rape, racism, desertion, and molestation. You know, fun things! Haha. Joking, joking of course.

Like I said earlier, this is the season that I remember most from 21 Jump Street. I liked the first two seasons a lot but when Booker showed up, he had that whole cool punker mentality that made him very likable. Too bad he had to leave the show and go do that dumb spinoff show and star in crap-filled movies like If Looks Could Kill. I think Grieco is only doing B type movies now, even some soft porn flicks from what I understand haha. Talk about a one hit wonder. But the addition of his character added a sense of freshness to the show and stirred up the original cast a little. I still think Johnny Depp was the best guy on there, and Depp and DeLuise were a perfect duo. I never liked the first captain of Jump Street but as soon as Fuller came on board, the show got real good. The man just doesn’t take any shit and is a bad ass. I think Holly Robinson was a lot cuter when she had the longer 80’s hair and not the short hair she has in this season. Though I think she was the hottest when she was on Hangin’ with Mr Cooper. This season also had a lot more focus on Blowfish for some reason. Not sure why.

The one episode that I remember the most from the whole series is in this season and that’s “Hell Week.” Booker, Hanson and Loki go undercover to a preppy frat where there was a rape involved. For some reason, that episode was always on TV and I just remember that one. Plus I liked what the cops had to go through, with all the hazing. Just goes to show you, Frats are stupid haha. There was another episode that I remember, mostly because it had Suicidal Tendencies playing in the whole episode. Some kid was doing something and he would get all freaked out and start throwing shit all over his room, while ST was playing. Not sure if it was in this season, or season 2 or 4. I also like the first episode of the next season because Booker and Jump Street go out of the way to prove Hanson was innocent in the shooting of Loki. That was a memorable episode. So there is something to look forward with the next season release, plus that being the last season for most of the cast. The episodes don’t look that great on DVD but the episodes aren’t on TV now so I’ll take what I can get. The episodes definitely seemed censored in some of the dialogue, so maybe these episodes were the syndicated ones perhaps? I don’t know.

If you are a fan of the series like I am, you’ll be pleased with this season. Even though there aren’t any extras on here and the episodes could have been cleaned up a little bit better. But all in all, a great DVD to own if you want to get all the seasons on DVD.
