I never heard of this festival before but I think there is a couple Spike & Mike DVDs out of the animated shorts from the festival and this is the newest one. Some of the animated shorts are pretty sick and twisted, and some are just plain stupid. For example, the opening shorts were No Neck Joe and it just wasn’t funny to me. Nor sick or twisted. There were several ones I didn’t get or find funny but there was a few that I actually like and thought were pretty good.

Shorts like Beyond Grandpa (which I think was the best and funniest animated short on the dvd), Tongue Twister (Sick but nicely done animated short), Fast Driver (which was a funny parody of Speed Racer) and Five Fucking Fables (which was in the same style of Bill Plympton’s cartoons but not as funny). A lot of these shorts can be found on the web, or just go to spikeandmike.com for more info on this DVD and the shorts that are on here. Overall, I was 50/50 with liking the stuff on here so it could have been better in that aspect and they could have put some good extras on here but that is non-existent.
