I have no idea who this band is. I guess they originated in the first wave of the L. A. punk scene. I don’t think I like them very much.

This DVD contains a live concert from 1978, that was filmed in San Francisco. From the looks of it, it looks like it was taken from a video and put on a DVD. The video quality is poor, and the audio could be better but given the state of the release of this video, I guess this is the best the DVD could be. The band has an annoying, snyth punk sound that I don’t really enjoy too much. Honestly, I find the music to be repulsive. I have to skip to the next song to see if this DVD gets any better. But with a name like the Screamers, I guess you could imagine the type of music that comes out of it.

Their live set is really short and is only about a half hour long. Maybe it felt shorter since I was skipping around a lot. The DVD also features some live video performances or music videos. Perhaps The Screamers’ concert set on the video or the video production itself is making me dislike the band. I’ve heard they were never properly recorded on video or audio before. Not sure if that’s a negative thing though. Maybe i’m just out of it but I just didn’t like this band or DVD. The Screamers fans that might have had trouble getting stuff from them in the past, can now breathe easier to know that they can buy this DVD from the band.
