I have to admit that I’m a HUGE Simpsons but I hate the first 2 seasons. The animation isn’t what it is now, The voices are all weird, and Smithers is Black! Plus I’m a fan of the dumb Homer to oppose the angry miserable Homer. I mean he’s that now, it’s just that he isn’t a complete moron. I hope FOX doesn’t take 12 years or so to release all these DVDs. The 2nd season is coming out soon as well and you know I’m going to get it, just because it’s the simpsons. If you seen the episodes a thousand times and want to see it differently, there is always the commentaries. I found myself listening to those instead of listening to the episodes because it was more interesting. It’s also funny to hear the animators and writers bash their own show.

I would have like to see how the episodes were made and stuff about the voice actors but I guess they have quite a few of DVDs to release so they didn’t do that for the first series. All the shows are in full screen and I didn’t notice anything about the sound too much. The episodes look a lot clearer than they do on regular TV though. If you’re a fan of the Simpsons and like the first season, then why not pick this box set up.
