I was looking forward to seeing this movie because it was done by Kevin Smith (Silent Bob) and it had an all-star cast. The movie was funny and decent but I think I was disappointed that it wasn’t as funny as I thought it would be or could have been. Imagine George Carlin writing this movie!? I thought Carlin’s short and edited performance in the movie was hilarious!

I thought the “Buddy Christ” statue is worth of admission itself..If you saw the movie or going to see the movie soon, you will know what I mean. The story is about to renegade angels (Ben Affleck, Matt Damon) that found a loophole about getting back into heaven and the loophole is in New Jersey of all places. Linda Florentino is the chosen one to stop them but she doesn’t know why she is chosen. Then tons of other stuff happens along the way and I can see why it took awhile to make because it’s seemed like a complex story.

I thought Jay and Silent Bob were funnier than usual because they had bigger roles in this movie. They used some Star Wars and Indiana Jones references which is always a plus in my book. I thought Chris Rock was a well added actor in the movie and I think without him, the movie wouldn’t have been funny.

All I have to say about Salma Hayek is YUMMY! Overall, I thought all the actors did their part and did it well, but the movie could have been a lot funnier. I guess I have to see it again to figure out if it’s a good and decent movie. Also, all the catholics and christians bickering about this movie (who haven’t even seen it) can shut the hell up and go back to your brainwashed lives. Cheerio!-
